Alice in Wonderland (Read Me)

I’M BACK!!!! Sorry, I was taking my summer vacation break. Now, I’m back and I’ve returned with the fairy tale fever….first up…Alice in Wonderland:

“And what is the use of a book,” thought Alice, “without pictures or conversation?” Every single book that is considered as great has pictures, whether they are already there or are created in our minds. Books take us on journeys to places we can only dream of. Conversations are held in our hearts, minds, souls and bodies. Alice in Wonderland is not childish; it is imaginative, personal and mindful. I’m writing this to let you know that. However you think that I won’t convince you “Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”

With its talking animals, bumbling cards, a queen with a terrible temper and other beauties and beasts; Alice in Wonderland is imaginative. This story reveals that anything is possible,. Even Albert Einstein said “Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world”. “Creativity grows when we become opened minded. We become braver when risking, falling and rising. Let’s be honest, how much of us would go after our dreams quicker if we knew that “Nothing is impossible, simply impassable”. Are you ready to grab your key from the table?

Sorry to get personal, but all this is personal. During the book, cartoon or movie (if you paid attention) you would notice that there are a lot of moments where it’s about self discovery. “Who in the world am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle.” This life is all about figuring out who you are. Even as adults it’s still difficult to know what we want. Decisions! Decisions! Every day there so many decisions! We are endlessly trying to find and chase the White Rabbit we call our hearts. However, if in the process you lose your mind, just know that “You can’t help that, we’re all mad here”.

Speaking about minds, didn’t I mention that Alice in Wonderland is also mindful? To be mindful is to stay in the present and to be aware of your inner and outer self. I remember the line that Alice said “I can’t go back to yesterday because I was a different person then”. These words couldn’t be any truer. We are always changing, improving ourselves until we are who we want to be, but even then, we never stop perfecting. Like little bread shaped butterflies, we keep trying to find the flavor that suits us. Pay attention to the rhythm of your body and the symphonies of the universe. Instrumental creatures are playing the songs you should listen to. Savor each moment, because next thing you know, it all turns out to be a dream that you never got to enjoy.

“Begin at the beginning,” the King said, very gravely, “and go on till you come to the end: then stop.” Over the hills of imagination, under the land of personal and and just behind the tree of mindfulness, lies a treasure for all ages. Alice in Wonderland opens your eyes, dares you to dream and believe. It teaches us to follow our hearts and that “No wise fish would go anywhere without a porpoise”. If you don’t see what I see or even a portion, well my friend, I believe you’ve lost your muchness, because when we are child-like we are much more muchier.
